THE cruiseship Van Gogh is back in service following her collision off Gibraltar a month ago and is expected to arrive at the docks tomorrow evening ready to embark passengers for a two day Halloween cruise to Liverpool. Van Gogh sustained considerable bow damage after colliding with the fully laden tanker Spetses in dense fog as she was sailing from Gibraltar to Tangier. A number of cruises from Falmouth had to be cancelled.

Confidence and popularity in this cruiseship remains extremely high with local travel agents Newells reporting all three cruises from Falmouth to the Caribbean next year are all fully booked with other cruises in the 2005 itinerary attracting much interest.

The month-long Caribbean cruises from Falmouth start on January 4, February 2 and March 3. After leaving Falmouth the ship calls at La Coruna, Ponta Delgada, Azores, before heading south to Antigua, St Kitts and Martinique. The ship cruises on to St Lucia, St Vincent, Grenada and Barbados from where Van Gogh will cruise north to Funchal, Madeira and Vigo, Spain arriving back in Falmouth.
