SKY Sports' cult Soccer-AM programme have come up with a new footballing catchphrase in 'bounce back ability' and it would certainly apply to Yeovil Town at present with the Glovers going through a mini-slump in results.

Following on from last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Scunthorpe United, Yeovil have now slipped from first to eighth in the Coca-Cola League Two after picking up just two points from the past five matches. They need to bounce back fast.

Although Yeovil have played some great football in patches, the results have just not been going their way and the 'rub of the green' has not been in evidence much either -- although the Glovers' 2-2 draw at Bristol Rovers last week was their own doing rather than Lady Luck turning a blind eye to them.

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson sounded very low after the defeat at Scunthorpe on Saturday following on from the debacle at the Memorial Stadium in Bristol where incidents on and off the pitch certainly made it a night to forget.

Johnson now has the job of picking his Yeovil players up off the floor. There is no doubt that there is great talent running through the Huish Park ranks, but just at the moment it would appear as if something is not clicking much to the annoyance of supporters.

After two away games, Yeovil return to Huish Park this Saturday for what has become a massive game with old Nationwide Conference rivals Chester City.

Chester, who have had an upturn in fortunes this season following the appointment of former Liverpool legend Ian Rush as manager, enjoyed a 3-0 victory over Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday night and are now just a point behind Yeovil in the table.

Johnson has said right from the off that the league is going to be tight this season and now just seven points separate the top 14 teams.

And Johnson said: "We have got to move on. We now need to keep working hard, keep going and believe in ourselves."
