FORMAL consultation on the future of health services for people in the Helston and Lizard area is due to get under way next month.
From November 8, local people are being invited to comment on ideas for re-investing the £190,000 per year saved by the closure in April of ten beds at Helston Community Hospital.
The West Cornwall Primary Care Trust, which said closing the beds was necessary to provide safe medical cover for patients, has committed to re-investing the money saved in local health services.
