Ilminster's main Christmas tree will not be illuminated this Christmas because of constant vandalism over the past few years.
The announcement was made by deputy mayor Norman Campbell, at a town council meeting last Tuesday.
The Christmas Lights Committee amd the Victorian Evening Committee will instead light three smaller trees, outside the Co-op in the town's square.
