BOSSES at Bridgwater medical centre have been smiling after a visit from the Minister for Public Health - who declared "everyone involved in the development of this practice deserves an accolade."
Minister Melanie Johnson visited the new £2.55 million East Quay Medical Centre in Bridgwater last week and officially opened the new pharmacy. Ms Johnson was given a tour of the facilities before viewing four new dental suites that are currently under construction and are projected to be completed by November.
East Quay was England's first GP practice to own and manage its own pharmacy and the minister seemed impressed. It now also boasts a range of services - and its own theatre where minor operations can take place.
