An increasing number of seal pups have been admitted to the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek near Helston already this year. The centre aims to rehabilitate seals and reintroduce them to the wild and have their work cut out this winter.
Eight pups have been admitted at what is traditionally the start of the breeding season. Many pups have injured flippers and malnutrition.
