A SIX-YEAR-OLD terrier lived up to her name after falling down a 80-foot mineshaft and emerging 24 hours later totally unscathed.
Tank disappeared from her home at Wall near Gwithian last Thursday and was found by her owners after a frantic search through the night, barking at the bottom of a disused shaft.
The fire brigade were called and two crews from Camborne and one from Redruth used specialist rescue equipment to winch Tank to safety, much to her owner Hamish Lothian's relief.
A fireman was lowered into the shaft and caught Tank in a net before bringing her up to safety at around 3pm on Friday.
