POLICE have made a fresh appeal for witnesses after an elderly woman from the Taunton area died following a road crash near Bridgwater.
Peggy Youngs, 89, died at Weston General Hospital on Sunday after being seriously hurt in the collision on the A39 at Catcott at 11am on Saturday, April 24.
She was a rear seat passenger in a Peugeot 206, one of three cars involved in the collision.
The A39 was closed for over four hours to deal with the incident, which also involved a Ford Fiesta XR2 and Fiat Cinquecento.
Anybody who may have witnessed the collision or was on the A39 in the Catcott area at the time is asked to contact Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
