A HUGE housing development of 1,000 new homes will create chaos unless a relief road is built first.
The huge building programme on land between Taunton and Monkton Heathfield is an accident waiting to happen, say local residents.
Planners are trying to strike a watertight deal to ensure that developers cannot walk away without constructing a relief road, but fears are mounting over the impact of the scheme, which will more than double the size of Monkton Heathfield.
