SHEEP rustling in Wiveliscombe got John Hawkins packed off to Australia as a convict 200 years ago.
Now his descendant, David Hawkins, has set up a display, which lasts a month, telling the story.
David, of Jeffreys Way, Taunton, is staging the exhibition in Taunton Castle, now the County Museum.
Viewers will be able to see how John was transported to New South Wales in a fleet commanded by William Bligh, of The Bounty fame.
