SOMERSET'S season gets under way in earnest on Wednesday when Derbyshire visit the County Ground in the opening County Championship match of the season.
Somerset recorded a thrilling victory last September when the two sides met and they will hope for a repeat performance to get their four-day campaign off to a winning start.
Nixon McLean, who has been playing cricket in South Africa this winter, will strengthen the Somerset line-up
And with Andrew Caddick and Richard Johnson he will make up one of the best bowling attacks on the county circuit.
Ex-Somerset wicketkeeper Luke Sutton will skipper Derbyshire this year.
