DISCUSSIONS are under way regarding the redevelopment of Wellington's Corn Hill.
Taunton Deane Council is working with owners of the historic street's run-down buildings in an attempt to bring new life to the struggling shopping area.
In his monthly report, Deane leader Cllr John Williams said new lighting has been installed and signs which block the view of CCTV cameras will soon be moved.
He added: "The actual redevelopment of Corn Hill is still very much under discussion and we are pressing for this to be progressed but the rate of progress is determined by the commercial developers, not ourselves."
