A PAIR of outstanding citizens from Wellington are being honoured next Friday.
Janet Meredith and George Bateman will be presented with Taunton Deane Council Citizenship Awards by Mayor of Taunton Deane Andrew Govier.
Mrs Meredith has worked as a volunteer with Wellington League of Friends for 30 years as well as for the NHS and as a member of the Guild of Helpers Committee for 25 years.
Mr Bateman has helped at Wellington Stroke Club, driven for Taunton Community Transport and helped raise funds for the local air ambulance.
He also spends time at Lodge Close sheltered accommodation, making daily visits and helping residents in their homes.
