Perranporth's carnival queen and fairy queen have been chosen for this year's carnival.
Nikita Pritchard, from Indian Queens, was chosen as carnival queen, with the 14-year-old beating three other competitors for the title.
Seven-year-old Zoe Scholes, from Perranporth, is this year's fair queen.
The two girls will be crowned at a ceremony on July 21.
Their duties will be to lead the floats at the carnival on July 24 and they have the opportunity to compete against other carnival and fairy queens from around the county.
Treasurer for the Perranporth Carnival Committee, Eileen O'Brien, said the judges tried to match up the girls so that they looked right together.
She said that the standard of competition was fairly high this year, but the number of people entering was decreasing each year.
"We had to open the competition up locally to get more in," she said.
"We'd like to have a few more."
