THE Yeovil-based Westland Apprentice and Student Association will be holding a charity duck race on Sunday to raise money for local charities.
South Somerset District Council has kindly agreed for the association to use a stretch of the River Yeo within Ninesprings County Park to hold the race on.
Association spokesman Victoria Fisher said: "We have 3,000 ducks available to sponsor at just £1 per duck. The first duck to cross the finish line will earn its lucky 'owner' £100 in prize money!"
It should be a fun day for all the family. Ducks will be available for sponsorship from 10am and the race will start at 12 noon.
The start line is just up from Goldenstones Leisure Centre, and the finish line will be behind Cannons Car park.
