POLICE are appealing for information after a man was assaulted while walking home from work in Yeovil.
The incident happened on the footpath which runs between the Yeovale Leisure Park and Sherborne Road on April 5 at about 7.50pm.
He walked passed a group of about six youths one of whom, in an unprovoked attack, punched the victim in the face.
A second male from the group then pushed the victim into the river, where he had to be rescued by a member of the public.
The first suspect is described as white, aged about 15, about 5ft 6ins tall with tanned skin, brown eyes and short brown curly hair.
He was wearing a black thigh length coat and blue jeans. There is no description of the second offender.
