A Chard trader criticised sentences given to two ram raiders who left him over £2,000 out of pocket and locked in a lenghty battle with planners for improved security.
Anthony Stuckey, 21, of Langdon Close, Chard, and Mark Curtis, 36, of Upton Court, Poole, formerly of Chard, appeared before Taunton Crown Court last week having pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to joint charge of burglary from Top Togs, in Chard last April.
Curtis, who has appeared before the courts on 22 previous occasions was sentenced to two years in prision and Stuckey, with four previous appearances, to one year in jail.
Top Togs owner Joe Bray said he had been led to belive they would get sentances of up to ten years.
