LANDLORDS in Somerset are being warned about a fraudster who has swindled publicans out of tens of thousands of pounds.
Police have launched a national hunt for the conman who has targeted dozens of pubs in England and Wales.
Avon and Somerset Police is asking the public to help catch the man who steals chequebooks from pubs and inns that provide accommodation.
He uses the identity from a stolen chequebook to pay for his board and lodgings before disappearing and moving on to his next victim.
