DEFIANT villagers lined the streets of Chilton Trinity to protest against a waste transfer station being put in their village.
Holding up placards, more than 50 people from the peaceful village turned out in force to demonstrate their strong feelings against the proposals.
The demonstration coincided with a visit by planners from the county council to check out the proposed site for the station at the old coal yard.
