Local triathlete Sam Humphrey, has just become a member of Europe's biggest and most powerful club in his sport.
The 29-year-old, of East Street, Cannington, has been selected to represent Yeovil-based TRI UK Gatorade, which, last year, had 50 members in the world's top 100 and 250 top-three finishes of the swimming/cycling/running sport.
Yet he took up the sport only two years ago, having had a very promising career as a mountain-biker cut short by the debilitating disease ME.
