AUGUST 27 is judgement day for 'Prince of Awe 2', a Robot Wars competitor, produced by two engineers from Chard.
The CO2 powered wedge-flipper, will compete against several other robots who are fighting it out to get to the finals of the Robot Wars TV series, now shown on Channel 5.
It has been made by Ian Bilboe, 42, of Coronation Street and Mike Trott, 26, of Combe Street, who used to work together at Phoenix Engineering in Chard.
They were helped by Ian's brother, Philip, who lives up-country.
