Wellington'S long awaited BMX track is set to be built in the next few weeks.
Earth from the disused ski slope at Wellington Sports Centre is being moved to a nearby field to create mounds, ramps and jumps for the town's keen stunt cyclists.
Riders who have previously been forced to travel to facilities in Taunton or Norton Fitzwarren will be consulted on the design, and the muddy mounds will be easily re-shaped if riders ever want to change the layout.
The track should be ready for most of the summer holidays.
