BRENT Knoll snatched victory from the jaws of defeat at Wells on Saturday.
Put in, Brent openers Dave Luff and Pat Hancock made a steady start before Gerrish bowled Luff in the ninth over with 21 on the board. Saurav Bhagawati joined Hancock, increased the tempo somewhat and saw off the opening bowlers.
With 66 on the board and the pair looking in commanding form, they met each other in the middle of the wicket going for a second and Hancock (25) gave up his wicket, gently coaxed along by his Indian team-mate.
