BESIDE THE SEASIDE: The brightly-dressed Tremethick Care Home team, of Redruth, are off for a day out at the beach - sharks and all!
REDRUTH was crowded on Saturday for the annual carnival procession. The parade, which set out from Redruth rugby ground, enjoyed brilliant evening sushine - the best conditions for several years. The procession proceeded along Green Lane, Fore Street and Station Road, then made its way back to the rugby club. There were superb walking and float entries.
Teri Bishop, one of the organisers told the Packet that although she was unsure of the amount of money that was raised, she was confident it was considerable the cash will be going to the town's St John Ambulance team. The group is raising money to build a £500,000 hall.
