THE President of Camborne Rugby Football Club, David Roberts, reflected on the successful culmination of the club's 125th anniversary season at a well attended annual general meeting held on Friday.

The match with Crawshay's Welsh XV and the players' reunion were amongst the memorable highlights and he paid tribute to all those who assisted throughout the year on and off the field.

Secretary Steve West pointed out that the season had been one of consolidation in the Western Counties league and with the format of new committee structures.

The Ist XV playing record was P 30 W 12 D 1 L 17 pts for 673 pts against 760.

Ian Morgan was top points score with 289 and Les Smitham top try scorer with 10.

The 2nd XV record was P 18 W 8 L10 pts for 384 pts against 341 and the 3rd XV P 17 W 13 L 4 pts for 368 pts against 171.

The new director of senior rugby, Roger Moyle, gave an upbeat address on the playing front with the aim of fielding a competitive Ist XV to challenge for the top places in the league in the coming season.

Officers elected for the 2003/04 season were: President David Roberts; chairman Trevor Harris; secretary, Steve West; financial director, Graham Chinn; director of clubhouse, Nigel Pryor; director of senior rugby, Roger Moyle; fixture secretary, David Smith, team secretary, Michael Symons; and clubhouse treasurer, Ian Matthews.
