JAMIE Holmes will make a comeback for Somerset Orchard FM Rebels in the testing home match against Isle of Wight Islanders tomorrow night (Friday 7.30pm).
The popular, young Devonian, a key member of Somerset's Conference League side two years ago, would have been one of their first choices at reserve this season had he been available regularly.
However, until now, his motor repair business has kept him out of speedway, apart from the occasional appearance. Rebels' team manager Ray Dickson said this week, "After our defeat at Stoke on Sunday, we were sitting in the bar talking possible reserves for this weekend and Jamie's name cropped up. So I rang him and he agreed to ride, even through he knows how tough a fixture it is against Isle of Wight."
