Children at Threemilestone School near Truro had a fun-filled day on Saturday June when the school held a fete. The fete was based on a pirate theme and thousands of people of all ages attended.
The fete, which was officially opened at noon by radio presenter Bob McCreedy and raised just over £2000. The money has already been allocated to certain pieces of educational equipment. The main piece of equipment being a new design of white board which is linked to a computer. Sports equipment has also been requested by the pupils.
Mr John Sanders from the school told the Packet that the new equipment that is being bought with the money raised was all requested by the pupils.
The pirate theme was popular with the children.
Plenty of fun was had both indoors and out with a gymnastics display inside the school, and many activities outside, including bouncy castles and assault courses. The day went very well and Mr Sanders told the Packet that he is very pleased with the amount of money that was raised and the amount of fun that was had.
