TAUNTON Deane Council has received an unexpected £2million-plus windfall of cash it thought had gone forever.
The money was part of sums set aside over the last decade to repay debts - but £1,823,899 was never needed and the Deane is now reclaiming it for capital projects.
A further £270,000 earmarked for last year and the current year is to be put back into the General Fund Reserve.
