CALLS to slow down traffic on Chard's streets have been renewed after a car left the road and ended up yards from a retired couple's conservatory.
Arthur and Joyce Roberts had just waved off some visiting relatives from their home in Robins Close, when a car crashed through a fence into their back garden.
The two looked out of their kitchen window to see a pale green Ford Fiesta reversing out of the garden back onto Elizabeth Way.
Splintered fence posts were sent flying and a neighbour's garden shed was moved several inches by the shunt.
