SOME rather unusual guests turned up for open gardens in Drayton, Langport.
A group of 32 scarecrows gathered on the streets on June 15, when a scarecrow competition was held.
The open gardens and the scarecrow attracted a lot of visitors and the money raised on the day will be going towards the village hall finds.
The winning scarecrow was Postman Pat, with joint second prize being awarded to Miss Muffet and Sir Potts. Third prize went to the three blind mice.
An appeal is being made to the people who 'borrowed' the cello from the scarecrow in school street to return it, as it has sentimental value to its owner.
