ST John's School, in Wellington, has appointed football fan Richard Powell as its new head teacher.
The 45-year-old former head teacher of Curry Mallet Primary is a fan of Yeovil Town who he looks forward to watching in their first ever season in the Nationwide Division Three.
Hailing from Cardiff, Mr Powell trained in Swansea and later started his teaching career in London.
