FRIDAY, JANUARY 17: Yeovil Town players and manager Gary Johnson have hatched a cunning plan to 'liquidate' their opponents with a new song to be played before their entrance onto the Huish Park pitch at home games. For more details see here:

The players and manager had been looking for a new "theme" tune for some time and have decided on the old reggae instrumental classic "The Liquidator", originally recorded by The Harry J Allstars in 1969.

Their new version by The Gary J Allstars has had a catchy new lyric added to it and the players are hoping the Huish Park crowd will take to the song straight away for Saturday's match with Morecambe.

Speaking after recording their version, Gary Johnson, said: "It came from a team meeting where the players felt they wanted something new for the fans to get their teeth into between now and the end of the season.

"We have been hearing some great tunes around the country when teams come out onto the field and it was felt we didn't have our own tune.

"So after some discussions we came up with this tune that we hope our supporters will enjoy cheering us out to.

"We've recorded our version and that will be played for the first time at the Morecambe game.

"We hope that together with the Dave Clarke Five hit "Glad All Over", which will be played when we score, that we can help create an even bigger atmosphere for our run in to the end of the season."
