Tickets have gone on sale for the star-studded professional production, The Legend of Jack and the Beanstalk, being performed in the 400-seater Kingsford Venue at Flambards, Helston, from Friday December 23 to Sunday January 1.

Produced by Hammond Feel the Magic, in association with the Packet, the pantomime will feature Deepal Parmer, who plays Chantal in CBBC's show Tracey Beaker, John Joseph, who plays Ian Hudson in Grange Hill, 60s superstar Wee Willie Harris and special guest stars the Bananas in Pyjamas.

As well as being a first for Flambards, the production also marks Deepal Parmer's pantomime debut.

"I've been a huge fan of pantos for as long as I can remember and I'm so excited that I'm about to appear in one myself," said Deepal. "It's a dream come true."

John Joseph, better known as Grange Hill's Ian Hudson, is no stranger to either stage or screen.

His numerous television appearances include leading roles in My Parents Are Aliens, The Bill and Eastenders.

Auditions were held for local people earlier this month at which 30 or more people turned up. Another is planned for October.

"I'm absolutely thrilled that we have been able to persuade Paul Hammond to bring such a star-studded cast to Helston," said James Kingsford Hale, managing director of Flambards.

"As our first ever venture into pantomime, we couldn't have wished for a more spectacular cast or production."

Tickets cost from £9.95 each. To book tickets, or check performance times, call the Box Office Hotline on 01326 573 404.
