ELDERLY residents across the region are having essential jobs done for them by South Somerset District Councils new handyperson scheme.
Bruce Denny has been rushed off his feet fixing problems across the district for the elderly and vulnerable. The jobs he is doing are essential repair jobs around the house for people who aren't able to tackle them themselves.
The council's principal housing standards officer, Alasdair Bell, said: "This scheme gives the elderly residents of South Somerset peace of mind that they can trust someone to do essential jobs for them."
