THE efforts of Chard trader Jill Watts to decorate the town for Christmas were praised at last month's town council meeting.
In her report to members, Chard South county councillor Jill Shortland said: "I'd like to commend the work Jill Watts has done in terms of drawing together all traders and other businesses to assist with the project."
Jill and her husband, Ivor, of Three Counties Glazing in Victoria Avenue, galvanised traders and lights specialists, and managed to get trees and lights set up in the town centre.
