Ilminster Ladies 0, Clevedon Town 2. ILMINSTER'S manager thought the ladies deserved at least a draw from this battling display which was maintained for 90 minutes - but mistakes cost them the game.
The first goal came from a free kick on the 18-yard line when the keeper, kicking from hand, was adjudged to have crossed the 18 yard line, and the second from a badly defended corner. Besides that keeper Hayley Philips had little to do, such was the excellent defence.
Ilminster attacked more as the game went on creating many good half chances for Alice Charlton but the Clevedon keeper pulled off a string of fine saves.
Michelle Carvell had an excellent game in midfield, as did Michelle Brown but player of the game was Kelly Andrews. This weekend, Ilminster Ladies play Street. New players welcome, phone Sarah on 01460-57917.
