Cornwall County Cricket Club have confirmed that they will be hosting Somerset County Cricket Club in a Twenty/20 match this summer.

The game against the national Twenty/20 champions will be held at Truro Cricket Club on Monday, June 19, at 5.30pm. The event will be primarily to raise funds for youth cricket in Cornwall and Somerset's beneficiary this year Richard Johnson. It is intended to precede the game with the annual primary schools' hardball competition final.

The initiative has come from Somerset CCC who want to do something for Cornish and Devon cricket on the back of their Twenty/20 success last season. They will move on to play Devon at Exmouth the following day as part of their build up to defend their title in this year's competition, which starts at the end of June.

Further details regarding arrangements and tickets will be issued in due course.
