MUSIC, film and carnival fireworks could be the latest casualty of more Burnham and Highbridge cost cutting.
People in the two towns have slated the plans as "retrograde" - with one even asking if "they are trying to discourage Carnival from taking place".
Sedgemoor District Council's executive committee met on Monday to discuss ways to save £92,000 from the coming financial year.
