CAMBORNE police have named the man who was stabbed at a house on Wellington Close on Saturday and say they have found a weapon.

Detective Chief Inspector Martin Orpe revealed that the body they found at 51 Wellington Close was that of 39-year-old Stuart Rutter.

Police also found another man with serious stab wounds at the address on Saturday night, who is seriously ill in hospital and has been unable to talk to investigating officers yet.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested after the attack but was later bailed to return to Camborne police station on March 22.

DCI Orpe said that the police are keeping an open mind about the investigation and currently have 40 officers working on the case.

He said: "We have found a weapon which is consistent with what has happened but we can not confirm it is the weapon."

He added: "We would also appeal to anyone who lives or was in Trerise Road, Tehidy Road or Enys Road between 2300 hours and midnight on Saturday, 21 January to contact us if they saw anything suspicious or may have found discarded clothing, footwear or weapons."
