POLICE have arrested 12 people in Camborne as part of an ongoing operation to target an apparent increase in the street level use and supply of heroin in the area.

Over two days last week officers executed a number of search warrants and arrested twelve people on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of heroin.

All 12 people have been bailed to return at a later date pending further enquires.

Heroin with a street value of about £500 has been recovered. Police in Camborne say they will continue to target this type of offending but are also keen to point out that users do have various agencies set up to assist them in overcoming their habit.

Information is available through Citizens Advice Bureau, GPs, the Cornwall Alcohol and Drugs Agency on 01872 263001, and Freshfields on 01872 241952.
