NEW Chard Mayor John Malcolm says he aims to make sure the town council works for the good of local people.
As reported, Cllr Malcolm won cross party support last week to become mayor until May. This week he said: "I'm not going to be partisan - I'm not going to favour one particular group".
Cllr Malcolm took over from Cllr Tony Prior, who stood down last month.
