PEOPLE living along West Somerset's main artery face four months of potential misery as a programme of improvements on the A39, which has seen more than 100 personal injuries in the past five years, starts next week.
Temporary traffic lights looks set to disrupt traffic flows along the road, one of just two primary routes in and out of West Somerset, as council contractors paint double white lines and additional hazard warnings.
The proposed the measures have been branded "penny-pinching by West Somerset's MP, Ian Liddell-Grainger."
