CHILDREN and staff at Curry Mallet Primary School spent last Monday (October 18) outside on an Outdoor Day tidying the vegetable gardens, harvesting and eating apples and completing the school's new Spiritual Garden.
The garden has a gravel area with seating, a willow arbour, a grassy area for wild flowers, a sail to provide shade, barked areas with shrubs and ornamental grasses, a willow screen woven by the children and a solar-powered water feature.
Headteacher Alison Whitman said: “The children are all very proud of what they have achieved by working together and are grateful to the staff and parents who helped them to realise their designs.
“The school would also like to thank All Saints Church, Curry Mallet, who donated the water feature and Roger Eavis of Greenshutters Nursery, Fivehead, who donated all the plants.”
