TODDLERS in West Somerset are getting new toys to play with, thanks to grants totalling £3,500.
The money has enabled children's play charity CLOWNS to buy new toys for its toy library and toy boxes which can be hired by children's groups or parents in the district.
CLOWNS co-ordinator Kathy Morton said: "For a charity like ours this is a huge sum of money.
"It will allow us to help many rural isolated parents and carers and their children."
Some £3,000 has come from the National Lottery's Award for All programme and £579 from Somerset Community Chest.
