WITH the Ashes underway Down Under, Australian and former Somerset County Cricket Club captain Justin Langer has released a book called Keeping My Head.

Langer, the Australian with the most first-class runs in cricketing history - he overtook Don Bradman in 2009 – talks frankly about his life in cricket.

The book gives the reader the chance to re-live the night the Australians soaked the English changing rooms at Lord’s in beer, the midnight frolic around the Sydney Cricket Ground in their underpants and baggy green caps, and the Caribbean dinner which cost the Australian Cricket Board £10,000.

Langer also recalls his years with Somerset and expands for the first time on his infamous 2009 Ashes ‘dossier’ as he shares his thoughts on the current crop of English cricketers - just in time for this year’s rematch.

Following his retirement from international cricket, Langer played four years for Somerset and captained the side in the 2008–09 seasons.

He is also the author of From Outback to Outfield, The Power of Passion and Seeing the Sunrise.

He is currently the batting coach of the Australian side and lives with his wife and four daughters in Perth.

Langer will be travelling with the Australian team throughout the Ashes series.
