A TEAM from Norton Manor Camp-based 40 Commando cooked lunch for pupils and staff at Cotford St Luke Primary School.
The Marines served up the dishes they normally survive on under canvas – cottage pie and vegetables, chicken and rice, followed by fruit salad and custard.
A school spokesman said: “A big thanks goes to Colour Sgt Dale Bedforth, the chief cook for 40 Commando, for organising the event.
“The Marines supplied the food free of charge and all donations from the school will go to the welfare fund for 40 Commando, our chosen charity for the year.”
The event was also attended by Commanding Officer Lieut Matt Jackson and Regimental Sgt Major Joe Gillespie.
