CHILDREN at Porlock's St Dubricius First School have been celebrating their green credentials.

The pupils spent a Healthy Day thinking of new ways to make their lifestyle greener.

Deputy head teacher and School Eco-coordinator Alison Oakley said: “Healthy Day is a perfect opportunity to allow the children to show their families, along with the wider community, just how hard they are working towards living greener and healthier lifestyles.”

For the day the children brought in healthy lunches and exercised.

They also came up with greener ways of travelling to school such as walking, cycling, car-sharing and even skipping.

Their low carbon initiatives were all collated and shown on a large display in the school.
