KIRSTI Nelson is trying to prove that one head is better than two.
Mrs Nelson is heading up a collaboration between Norton Fitzwarren and Staplegrove Primary Schools.
Both will retain their own identities and governing bodies, but Mrs Nelson will be headteacher at both schools.
She said: “The collaboration will bring together the strengths of both schools and enable resources to be shared to enhance the education of all.
“The concept of school to school support is one that the Taunton Learning Partnership is exploring and schools working closely together means that all children will benefit.”
Norton Fitzwarren Primary School is holding an open morning from 10am to 12noon on Thursday, November 17, when visitors can meet Mrs Nelson.
