HUNDREDS of people gathered in Taunton at 11am today to pay their respects for those killed in service.
The Rev Rod Corke also gave an update on tonight's vigil in memory of the M5 crash victims.
Wreaths were laid on the Burma memorial and the Last Post was played.
Taunton Deane Mayor Steve Brooks thanked all those who attended for coming to pay their respects.
After the ceremony, the Rev Corke re-iterated the change of arrangements which means tonight's vigil at Hankridge is only for members of the emergency services and others who have been invited.
He also said Sainsbury's had made an area of the bank next to the M5 available for people to lay flowers if they wished.
The Rev Corke's address is included in the video on this page.
