Taunton Deane Motorway Services have been named Roadchef’s Site of the Year in its annual Heroes of the Year Awards.
The facility, opened in 1976 and which employs 130 people, was also named the firm’s most-improved site, the Management Control Audit Site of the Year, Restbite of the Year and Health and Safety Site of the Year.
Site director Tracy Naylor said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have beaten off competition from 19 other Roachefs.
“Each year, there’s fierce competition among the sites to win this award and it’s testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone working at Taunton Deane that we are this year’s winner.”
Simon Turl, Roadchef’s chief executive, said: “The fact that Taunton Deane took home so many of our awards this year highlights just why it deserved to be crowned our Site of the Year.
“Taunton Deane has set an example to all 2,000 people working at Roadchef.”
